Tamoxifen - Femara is a drug that has been specifically to help
women who have developed cancer or are displaying early symptoms of
breast cancer. The drug has specifically been developed for the use
of women who have passed through menopause. The tests have shown the
effect of slowing down of the secretion of estrogen throughout the
body. Estrogen causes the bodies hormonal changes to take place in
an effective manner and keep the female reproductive system
functioning properly.
The female hormonal system is responsible for the proper regulation
of certain reproductive processes that are also necessary. The tests
confirmed that when women pass through menopause women usually tend
to develop cancer. There fore it is advised that women over the
menopause age go for frequent check ups and over all physician
visits as the level of estrogen in the body keeps getting secreted
and it begging to collect in certain quantity allover the body.
Tests have shown that the breast happens to be one of the key
collection areas and that is how the cancer develops.
Here is where the function of Tamoxifen - femara comes in. Femara
reduces the secretion of estrogen in the body and is there fore
helpful in the regulation of a proper level of estrogen. However it
is advised by all physicians that women who are still below the age
of menopause and pre menopause should not use Tamoxifen. And
especially women who are pregnant should not use this drug as it
could cause significant harm to the development of the fetus.
